Brief description and background:

The Master in Auditing of Accounts has been developed as a title of the University of Murcia uninterrupted for twenty-two editions. Each edition has been approved by the Government Council of the University of Murcia, authorizing its repetition the Rector, and being approved by the Institute of Accounting and Audit of Accounts (ICAC). The results of evaluation in all the editions have been very satisfactory, being able to place this master in the head of some of the most known national rankings.

Now, as of the 2015/2016 academic year, the Master's Degree in Auditing of Accounts began to be taught in this Faculty of Economics and Business as an Official Title of the University of Murcia.

This Master aims to train specialists in the field of auditing, in a way that allows them to address in the most effective way the direction or conduct of audits of any type or dimension. The interest for the company is unquestionable since the audit activity is necessary for all those companies that must submit an audit report annually along with their annual accounts.

The Master is taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business and has a maximum of 30 places.

Application Procedures

Application procedures and requirements.

ACCESS

Be in possession of an official university degree in Spain or another issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that authorizes the issuer of the degree to access Master's degrees.
Graduates in accordance with educational systems outside the EHEA may access official Master's studies without having to approve their degrees. Previously, the University must verify that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that the degree obtained entitles, in the country issuing the degree, to access postgraduate courses. The access by this way will not imply in any case the homologation of the previous title that is in possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the Master's degree.
 For the access to the Master's studies, those who accredit having a foreign degree not approved in Spain, must request, in advance of the admission process, the verification of the level of equivalent training of their studies with one of the official Spanish qualifications.
The request for verification of level of equivalent training will be raised to the Commissions of Knowledge Branches of the General Commission of Doctorate, who will solve the requests. The application will be processed in the manner established in the rules and instructions for admission and registration.
In relation to this, it is important to clarify that students will be able to access the Master's Degree in Account Auditing being in possession of official university degrees, whose most appropriate profiles are the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management and the Degree in Business Administration.

ADMISSION

In accordance with the Regulation that regulates the official university studies of the University of Murcia in its article 4.2 ( https://sede.um.es/sede/normativa/reglamento-por-el-que-se- regulate-the-university-official-studies-of-master / pdf / 129.pdf ) (approved by the Governing Council on 05/24/2013), admission to a Master will be decided by the Center that offers it at the proposal of the Commission Academic of the Master, named according to the Regulation in article 16.

The Commission will use the criteria previously established in the Master's degree curriculum, which should take into account:

· An assessment of the academic curriculum.

· An assessment of the merits of special relevance or significance in relation to the Master

· Any other criterion or procedure that, in the opinion of the Academic Committee of the Master, allows to verify the suitability of the applicant to follow the studies requested.

Taking into account the aforementioned The selection of those admitted will take place according to the following scale, which will be applied by the Master Academic Commission:

1st) Academic record (according to the Standard on Qualification System and Calculation of the Average Note of the Academic Records): Up to 6 points.

2nd) Curriculum Vitae: Up to 4 points.

- Other studies: diploma (1 point), bachelor's degree (1.5 points). University Master's Degree (2 points). Maximum: 2 points

- Other academic merits:

· Publications (article in magazine: 0,25, book: 0,50). Maximum: 0.5 points.

· Courses from 30 hours (0.1 point). Maximum: 0.5 points.

· Internal student (0.25 per year). Maximum 0.50.

· Collaboration scholarship (0.25 per year). Maximum 0.50.

- Professional experience in the financial, accounting or auditing field (0.5 per year). Maximum: 4 points.

In case of equal scoring in the scale and exceptionally the Commission may conduct interviews with applicants. In the realization of this interview will be the Unit of support for students with disabilities, in the case of students with special educational needs derived from it ( http://www.um.es/adyv/diversidad.php ). This service will evaluate the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies in the case of students with specific educational needs derived from disability.

3. The Center will make public the lists of admitted ones in the Master once received the proposal of the Academic Commission of the same one.

4. Students must submit an application for admission to official master's degrees, and upon admission to the corresponding master's degree, they will proceed to formalize their enrollment in the form, deadlines and with the requirements established in the rules and instructions for admission and enrollment. that for these purposes they will be approved by resolution of the Rector for each academic year.

5. The admission systems and procedures should include, in the case of students with special educational needs derived from disability, adequate support and counseling services, which will assess the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies.

6. The admission will not imply, in any case, any modification of the academic effects and, where appropriate, professionals that correspond to the previous degree of possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for purposes other than studying Master's degrees. .


Recognition

The Faculty of Economics and Business has a Quality Assurance System (QMS), whose scope corresponds to all the official qualifications of which the Center is responsible, among which is that of this Program.

In the documentation of the Quality Assurance System, it is indicated, among others, the body responsible for the QMS (Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty), the processes that allow obtaining information about its development, mobility and results, as well as the processes for which the programs are analyzed, reviewed and improved and public information is provided. In addition, a specific process is available on the suspension of the different programs.

The Academic Committee of this Program will act as the body responsible for the application of the Center's QMS in this degree.
