Established in 1993, Sumy State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Sumy (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Sumy Oblast. This institution also has a branch campus in Konotop and Shostka. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Sumy State University (SumDU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Ukrainian higher education institution.
